We had an absolute blast doing this photo shoot with Nacole and some of her girls from Rich Skinny Pretty.  Nacole pulled 6 gorgeous dresses from Neiman Marcus at Fashion Valley and we had access to a fabulous house in Rancho Santa Fe to stage our New Years photos.  The evening involved blowing up lots of balloons, drinking champaign (at least for the girls) and taking some fun photos.  The photos accompanied Nacole’s article last month in Discover SD, and if your interested in what dresses and accessories she pulled for our shoot they are listed on her Blog.  Thanks Nacole  and her girls for putting together this great shoot, and we look forward to more exciting Rich Skinny Pretty events this year!  Also we want to say thanks to Rachel and her family for allowing us access to their amazing house!

As a born and raised local, summer in San Diego brings to mind cotton candy at the county fair, extravagantly over sized hats on race day, and “divot stomping” after a heated polo match!  This month we got together with Nacole Gray, the creator of one of San Diego’s newest hip fashion blogs Rich Skinny Pretty, for some fun on the turf.  To promote the opening of polo season and SD Polo’s 2010 apparel, Nacole arranged a really fun photo-shoot with the girls from Rich Skinny Pretty at the Ranch Santa Fe Polo Club.  Riviera Magazine is sponsoring this year’s Opening Day at the Polo Club, and Nacole Gray is putting together and styling the fashion show.  We are so excited to see what trends she reveals for us this season.  The first match begins at 1:00 pm on Sunday June 13th.  For more information on tickets and tailgaiting have a look at www.sandiegopolo.com.  This event is not to be missed, so don’t forget your floppy hats and cute wedges!  The first match begins at 1:00 pm on Sunday June 13th.  Check out more photos from this shoot and fashion tips from Nacole at Rich Skinny Pretty.com

Recommended Photo Location of the Month- Old Town San Diego!

This week we took some time to wander around Old Town San Diego to see what we could find, and we weren’t disappointed.  Old Town is a fantastic place to have a wedding, especially if you’r looking for the historic, rustic California.  We absolutely love the bright colors that are all over Old Town, in the form of flags, flowers, blankets, and souvenirs.  The restaurants are fantastic if you just want to go down and grab a bite to eat, and you can’t visit Old Town without going to the Candy Shop.  We got mesmerized by the taffy machine in the window, folding layer after layer of sugary goodness.  Old Town is also a wonderful place for engagement or family portraits.  There are fantastic whethered benches to perch on for a photo op, and don’t forget the  covered wagon in the town square.  We cant wait to go back for delicious mexican food, and a relaxing stroll.

We hooked up with Taylor Golonka for a shoot and came up with some really great shots. Taylor is a music producer in Hollywood. We based the photo shoot around his rocking 60’s T-Bird, and for our first set up we wanted to do a shot in his parking garage with vinyl flowing from the trunk. He has such an extensive collection of vinyl that it took us quit some time to get it all down to his garage. While we were making our trips back and forth, we discovered that Taylor has the most amazing hat collection. He considers hats to be a staple of his look, and he has some seriously cool ones.   After completing our initial shot of Taylor and the T-Bird we decided to take it to the streets and get some shots of him in his element.  After all, he is in Hollywood and driving is a big part of anyones life here. What a cool car to cruse around in. Taylor decked it out with tiger print accents and it sure gives his car character. We had a great time cruising and shooting around in his ride, and we are really happy with the driving shots we popped of. Check out what we got from that day, and be sure to check out Taylor’s music at http://www.oddballentertainment.com
