We just want to say congratulations to newlyweds Alison and Andy!  We had so much fun with them a few months back doing their engagement photos and we  had even more fun with them on their wedding day.  You couldnt’ have asked for a better day to get married in Arizona.  It had been in the 90’s the week before, and dropped down to the 70’s for the day of the wedding.  Beautiful clouds rolled in, making for even better pictures in an already gorgeous location.  When it came time for the sun to set, we were given the most spectacular display of pinks and oranges across the desert sky.  Here are some pictures of their beautiful ceremony at the Tanqua verde Ranch!  Check back soon for part 2 of Alison & Andrew’s spectacular wedding day.

We love Anthony & Cassie!  We met them back in our Santa Barbara school days when lives revolved around photo shoots, and rushing to get assignments done.  Thankfully we have been able to remain good friends since then.  Anthony is a fellow photographer, and Cassie is an artist, author, and creator of the very creative blog Moon Face.  She also hand makes the cutest scarves and neck warmers that she sells on Etsy . If you haven’t seen her work, check it out.  I can’t wait to get my very own neck warmer in Crimson!  Recently they took some time out of their busy schedules to wander around Santa Monica and stop for some amazing pictures.  We hit up a few of the main spots such as the Santa Monica Pier, but found that we had the most fun shooting in little side alleys along the way.  We had a great day and got some fantastic pictures.  Thanks Anthony and Cassie, you guys are amazing!

So a few months ago I received a phone call from a friend of ours named Bill. He said that a group of friends with UTV’s (Utility Vehicles) were going to be heading on a midnight run from Lake Pleasant to Jerome in Arizona.  I figure that it would be fun to ride along.  The weather would be nice because it drops down to a fantastic 85 degrees at night and we can be in the hotel once the sun starts to cook Arizona.  Well Life being as it is, we end up leaving from the lake at 7 am just as it broke the 95 degree mark.  Regardless, we started our run up north.  Thankfully the temperature began to drop as we gained elevation. We had a few hiccups along the way, vehicles breaking down, tires popping on some of the very jagged rocks along the route.  But the unbelievable views from the many vistas, and the ever-changing landscape made any difficulties all worth it.  We had a fantastic time and really cannot wait to do it again.

These things are perfect for shooting video on these trips.

I can think of worse places to break down.

We had a wonderful photo-shoot with Mallory’s two dogs, Evie and Lily.  Lily is the cutest little Welsh Terrier.  She is full to the brim with life and spunk, jumping around happily the moment we arrived for the photo-shoot. Lily was still picking up her toys wanting to play even when it was time for us to leave.  Her little sister Evie would love to play with toys too if only Lily would let her.  Evie’s story absolutely warmed our hearts.  She appeared in Mallory’s life on Christmas Eve 8 years ago.  Mallory had recently lost her dog and little homeless 4 month old Evie wandered into Mallory’s garage like a gift on Christmas Eve.  They have been inseparable ever sense.  Evie was so cute during our photo-shoot, every 10 minutes she would go running off to check on Mallory.  Once she was satisfied that Mallory was still around and doing fine, Evie would come bounding back to us for more treats and Photos.  Evie and Lily are fantastic dogs and we had a great time photographing them.
